We thought we had how to peel a potato nailed down, but a TikToker has just shared a hack that'll make life so much easier.
Yup, it turns out there's a nifty trick which will make your spud peeling an absolute breeze.
You ready? Let's dive right in.
In a short clip, TikTok page @quitmyjob said that she cut a line around the middle of each potato before boiling them.
The line only had to be a couple of millimetres deep, then when the potatoes soften you can simply slip off the skin in one easy swoop.
"So crazy, that's incredible," the TikToker said after the trick worked.
"Why did I ever peel a potato?," they said in the caption.
It seems a lot of people were as bamboozled by this hack as us, seeing as over 24 million people rushed to watch the video.

"This is IMPORTANT INFORMATION," said someone on the video after seeing it.
"I've learned more on the tiktok than anywhere else," someone else said.
"Perfect, you saved me an hour of time this week," a third chimed in.
Of course, you could just leave your potato skins on, given the skins actually have loads of nutrients in.
But if you're cooking a recipe which needs a peeled spud then this could save you some valuable time!

It's worth noting you'll wanna let the potatoes cool a little before taking the skin off as they'll be hot to touch once theyve softened.
Boiling your potatoes will also mean they have the best chance of getting a fluffy inside and a nice, crunchy shell.
If you're gonna mash them, it'll also ensure they're extra lush and flavoursome when added with butter or cream.
As Cook'n explains, it also helps by "eliminating much of [the potato's] simple sugars and starches, and gelatinises a layer on the surface of the potatoes."
Pretty nifty, right?
So, whether you're a dab hand at peeling potatoes or not, adding this step isn't a bad idea!
