McDonald’s drops ‘iconic’ new burger never seen before in UK - and people say it’s better than Big Mac

McDonald's fans, it's time to get excited because a burger that has never been seen in the UK is coming to our shores!

The sun is (hopefully) shining, the days are getting longer, and those winter blues are slowly melting away. Do you know what would pair nicely with this springtime glow? A brand new McDonald's burger!

McDonald's UK is set to unveil the Big Arch burger on June 18, 2025, marking a significant addition to its menu.

This burger – previously available in countries like Canada, Portugal, and Germany – features two 100 percent British and Irish beef patties, three slices of white cheddar cheese, crispy and slivered onions, shredded lettuce, crunchy pickles, and the new Big Arch sauce, all nestled within a toasted sesame and poppy seed bun.

McDonald's promises that "every layer is crafted for maximum flavour and total satisfaction!"

Thomas O’Neill, Head of Menu at McDonald’s UK&I, said: “A new iconic burger needs an equally iconic sauce, and we’ve taken it up a notch with the Big Arch. This isn’t just about size, it’s about flavour.

"With double layers of beef, crispy onions, and the hero of the build, our signature sauce, every bite is crafted to hit the spot to satisfy serious McDonald’s hunger. Big, bold, and packed with serious deliciousness.”

Priced at £7.99 for the burger alone and £9.99 for a medium meal, the Big Arch stands out not just for its size, but also for its bold flavours.

Courtney Pochin from the Metro got her hands on the burger early, and her review was glowing to say the least.

She even went as far as to say: "Dare I say it, I actually think it’s better than a Big Mac. For me, the flavours are more interesting."
