People are just discovering 'hidden compartment' in toasters

Ah, TikTok - the purveyor of sometimes useful and sometimes downright obvious tips, tricks and hacks.

As for the one we're about to bring you? The floor is divided on which category applies...

You see people are just finding out that there's a 'hidden compartment' in toasters, and whilst plenty claim they've known this for years, there are just as many who say they didn't have the foggiest.

The information was shared on TikTok by Aussie cleaner Kacie, who runs the page The Big Clean Co.

"There are cleaning hacks going around the internet that are not really hacks at all, they make it harder," she said in a video.

"This week I was sent one. 'Clean your toaster with a hairdryer."

She then demonstrates how to access the compartment, and how easily you can clean your toaster of crumbs.

"Just tip it in the bin," she said.

Yup, it's really that easy.

Reacting to the video, loads of people were baffled by the revelation.

"I was today years old," said one person.

Whilst another wrote: "Omg I can't believe this. I always stare at it and get annoyed because of all the crumbs."

"There's a TRAY?!?!?!?," said someone else.

"I didn't even know it had one until it fell out the bottom the other day," a fourth chimed in.

There were others, like us, who couldn't believe this was a new discovery to so many.

"Thought this was common knowledge," one penned.

"Ok I understand y’all not understanding about some things but, y’all didn’t know about toaster trays???," said another.

Well, now everyone knows!
