We all love a brownie but these ones have a little secret - They're made with black beans! Look, we know you're probably thinking and the answer is no you can not taste the beans!! Not only are these fudgy and full of fibre but they are filled with dark chocolate and a punchy hit of spicy chili and lime.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-inch-square baking tin.
Place rinsed beans, eggs, oil, maple syrup, lime juice and vanilla in a food processor; and pulse until smooth. Pour the contents into large bowl and add the dry ingredients (sugar, cocoa powder, chili powder, baking powder, coffee granules, lime zest, salt, flour and chocolate chips) then mix until combined.
Pour the batter into your prepared tin and bake for 25 to 30 mins, until a toothpick comes out clean (for a fudgier brownie aim for a few moist crumbs on the toothpick) then leave to cool until room temperature.
Melt dark chocolate and spread over the top. Finish with chili flakes, lime zest and a sprinkle of set salt.
